February 27, 2020
Naperville, IL - Nick Palmer, a Democrat running for Will County Executive, announced today that he has been endorsed by Farm Team PAC, a political action committee founded by Congresswoman Lauren Underwood to elect exceptional candidates to state and local office across the 14th congressional district.
“I am humbled to receive the support of Congresswoman Underwood, one of our most dynamic leaders in Congress,” Palmer said of this most recent endorsement for his campaign. “Congresswoman Underwood represents a large portion of the population of Will County and is the only member of Congress who resides in Will County. So she knows personally the challenges Will County faces and what it takes to lead our county going forward. Her endorsement is further evidence that our campaign is strong and focused on winning the March 17th Democratic Primary.”
Of the announcement, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood said, “As a Will County native, Nick Palmer understands the unique economic development opportunities throughout our growing community. Nick has spent the last 15 years effectively improving local infrastructure throughout the county and supporting sustainable growth for working families. He is a champion for bipartisanship and shares our values of accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility. He is experienced and prepared to lead Will County forward. The Farm Team is proud to endorse his campaign for Will County Executive.”
Palmer joins 13 other state and local candidates across northern Illinois receiving an endorsement from the Farm Team PAC and Congresswoman Underwood. The Farm Team PAC is dedicated to supporting exceptional candidates running for state and local offices across the 14th Congressional district in Illinois. Congresswoman Underwood launched the Farm Team PAC in September of 2019 to support candidates in various state and local offices including the state legislature, countywide offices, county boards, and judicial courts.
Palmer’s bid for Will County Executive has previously garnered support from a wide array of local elected officials, including current Will County Executive Larry Walsh, an overwhelming majority of the Democrats on the Will County Board and Speaker of the Board Denise Winfrey, as well as Congresswoman Robin Kelly, who represents the 2nd Congressional District. Palmer has also been endorsed by The Chicago Tribune, Personal PAC, Our Revolution Illinois, Will County Progressives, and Southwest Suburban Activists.
